About the Role
Our Snugglers take hundreds of photos and videos of the cats and kittens in our care, and we want to make sure those memories don't get lost!
We're looking for a detail-oriented volunteer to help collect, sort, and organize photos and videos into each cat's individual Google Photos album. These albums help us document their time at Kitkat Playroom and give adopters a collection of memories to enjoy for years to come.
Responsibilities
Regularly review photos and videos shared by Snugglers in our private Facebook Kitteneers group.
Download media from Facebook and upload it to the appropriate cat's individual Google Photos album.
Review our shared Snuggler Google Photos album, download newly added media, and organize it into each cat's individual album.
Identify cats and kittens in photos and videos, even when they aren't labeled.
Keep track of which media has already been organized to avoid unnecessary duplicates.
Ask for help identifying cats when needed.
Qualifications
Strong familiarity with Kitkat Playroom's cats and kittens, including the ability to recognize individual cats and identify which litter or group they belong to.
Comfortable using Facebook and Google Photos.
Able to download, upload, and organize photos and videos on a computer.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
Willing to keep up with new kittens as they arrive and learn their names and appearances.
Why This Role Matters
Each cat's photo album tells the story of their time with us, from their earliest days in our care to the day they go home. These photos and videos are valuable for adoption profiles, medical updates, fundraising, and sharing memories with adopters.
As our Volunteer Media Coordinator, you'll help us keep those memories organized, accessible, and preserved.
This is a fully remote volunteer opportunity. You can complete the work from home on your own schedule.
